MPX1022

The MPX1022 CPU Module is another member of a series of QorIQ™ based COMs. It is functional compatible to the MPX2020 products. The devices in these two platforms are software compatible, sharing the e500 Power Architecture core and peripherals, as well as being fully software compatible with the existing PowerQUICC processors. This enables you to create a product with multiple performance points from a single board design. The MPX1022 COM supports the CPUs audio visual and two SATA interfaces and offers two processor cores as main benefit over the QorIQ P1011 family.

The QorIQ P1xxx CPUs offer the value of extensive integration and extreme power smarts for a wide variety of applications in the networking, telecom, defense and industrial markets. Based on 45 nm technology for low power implementation, the P1022 processor provides dual core solutions for the 600 MHz to 1055 MHz performance range, along with advanced security and a rich set of interfaces. Providing a migration path from Freescale's popular PowerQUICC II Pro processor family, the P1xxx series offers a performance upgrade in the same power envelope, which enables low power consumption, fan-less system designs on small form factor solutions.

The physical dimensions of the MPX modules are 66 x 77 mm². The MicroSys standard includes the definition of the 2 x 208 pads to connect the SoMs to peripherals and system extensions. The innovative elastomeric connector technology offers an easy means to stack extension modules on the front and back side of the SoM. Rapid prototype designs can be done easily and turned into production systems fastly by that.

The MPX SoM-family features a rugged design with the aim to withstand extreme and harsh environments in embedded applications.

MPE03 Header Pin Adapter for MPX Modules
This Adaptor Boards is mounted on any MPX contact area on top or bottom of a MPX Module or CRX carrier. It makes all 208 lines accessible on header pins. FRCs or hole matrix boards may easily attached and allow rapid prototyping with MPX.

SBC1022
The SBC1022 Single Board Computer is a member of a family of Freescale QorIQ™ P2/P1 series. The development kit offers a fast means to implement rugged designs with the aim to withstand extreme and harsh environments. Typical applications for it are found in automotive, industrial automation, medical, railways & transportation, construction and defense market segments. The flexible miriac™ MPX Module-Carrier-Concept in combination with the provided board support packages of operating systems, is an excellent platform for rapid prototyping and it offers fast time to serial production. Software development environments are an integral part of the product. Middleware to address market specific requirements like field bus solutions (e.g. EtherCAT or PROFINET) embedded graphics (e.g. XiBase9, EmbeddedQT) or Soft-PLCs (e.g. logi.cad, IEC 61131-3) for control applications can be provided on request.
